Thanks to the power of Twitter, and specifically Oli Mockridge (@YeovilBirder) who retweeted my question and Barrie Widden (@BarrieWidden) who supplied the answer, I now know that this Grey Wagtail with the coloured rings on its legs that I photographed at Ninesprings Park yesterday has come all the way from Lancashire, having been ringed at Heysham Nature Reserve Lancashire on September 17th 2019. Birds are just such amazing things, and occasionally the Twitterati have their moments too!
