You don’t have to write like this to be a writer, but it helps. I have written like this in the past, usually at one in the morning when it was dark outside, a lot of whisky had removed my inhibitions, and the only sounds in the house were the voices in my head. I don’t do that any more, drink whisky (or any alcohol for that matter) or write stream of consciousness at one in the morning, but I do miss it sometimes, especially when I read something like this. I’m not saying that’s how this guy writes, but I’d like to think it is. It’s the romantic in me. I’d quote from it in this intro, but he saves his killer line for last, and I’d hate to spoil the plot.
