A question about duplicate Gmail notifications

Hi there, I need some help here – I’m suddenly getting multiple copies of the same notifications from the gmail address I use for WordPress arriving in my Outlook inbox. I have two email addresses, a Live.com one and a gmail one, but I have always had Outlook (and Windows Mail) set up to retrieve the gmail one as well. I can email from either of them within Outlook (I’ve never liked Gmail’s own layout). I thought it might be something to do with my new phone – I’ve recently switched from Windows Phone to Android, but though I’m signed into Gmail and Outlook on the phone, I don’t think it can be that – it’s just the WordPress notifications that are being duplicated. It still could be though, somehow.

I did find a checkbox within WordPress that seemed to tell it to email me if any pages were modified (I’ve been doing quite a bit of that since it all changed to Blocks), so I unchecked that, which stopped it for a while, but then it started again, without me having edited anything.

I really hope it’s not sending multiple notifications to those of you who have been kind enough to like my various posts (and thank you!), but if it is, could you let me know please, when you have a moment, and I’ll try to sort it out (although I thought I had!). I’d hate to think your kindness is being rewarded with a ton of emails from me, but many many apologies if it is!

Have any of you had the same problem? I hope you haven’t, but if you have, did you manage to find a solution? I don’t have any plugins, because I can see from the various forums that they can cause this – I only have the personal account at the moment, although I may well be upgrading soon, if for no other reason than to have a bit more control over default fonts.

I hope you’re all well, and thanks again for the likes, and the follows!

All the best, Alastair.
